Packaging With Purpose

REUSE → REPURPOSE → RECYCLE

We believe sustainability should work in the real world.

Many coffee bags labeled “recyclable” or “eco-friendly” still depend on local facilities, flexible-plastic rules, and multi-layer materials that are difficult to separate. That’s why we chose a different path: a package people can actually reuse, repurpose, and recycle.

ALUMINUM CROWLER

32 oz

Holds approximately 13–16 oz of coffee depending on roast level.

Reusable

After the coffee is gone, the can can hold tools, camping supplies, craft materials, pantry items, and more.

Repurposable

Durable aluminum containers can enjoy a second life before they ever reach a recycling bin.

Recyclable

When its useful life is over, aluminum is one of the most widely accepted and successfully recycled materials in America.

The honest truth

It costs more. We do it anyway.

Our packaging costs substantially more than traditional coffee bags—often up to eight times more expensive. We could save money with conventional packaging. We don’t. If we’re going to talk about sustainability, we want to invest in packaging with a realistic chance of being reused, repurposed, or recycled.

Sustainability beyond packaging

Efficient roasting, thoughtful packaging.

Freedman’s Finest Coffee is roasted on advanced Rubasse infrared roasters, using approximately 1 kWh of electricity to roast about 5 pounds of coffee. We pair energy-efficient roasting with infinitely recyclable aluminum packaging— thoughtful from green bean to recycling bin.
